Comparing costs How ProCure21 out-turn costs compare with traditional* contracting over a range of clinical facility types.
All costs shown are per m² gross internal floor area and at MIPS 489 and location factor 1.00. All costs exclude demolition and site preparation, site abnormals, external works, Group 2,3&4 fittings and equipment, professional fees, contingency and VAT. * Building Cost Information Service - Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Other cost savings ProCure21 contracts are not required to be advertised in accordance with EU rules. This provides an average estimated time saving of six months per contract. The BCIS survey of tender prices (Q4-2007) forecasted a tender price rise of 5.1%. A six month time saving would therefore equate to approximately 2.55% capital cost saving over this period. Analysis of ProCure21 schemes show comparatively shorter construction periods - 7 weeks for schemes between £1-5m and 17weeks for schemes between £5-15m. This could equate to cost savings of approximately 1% of capital cost depending on changing tender index figures. |

Dear colleagues, in respect of the above named individual can we as a whole service thank you for an excellent and thoroughly professional member of your staff who has been instrumental in helping us settle safely in to our new unit. Can we complement yourselves on allowing him to be with us and would recommend him as an excellent example of how partnership within the P21 scheme works positively for all groups. It is with sadness he leaves today but from a CTP perspective he will be sadly missed but we wish him every success in the future.
