The Chair, Angela Jones, opened the proceedings with a brief speech setting out the vision of the Trust and the particular importance of this facility to improve staff working conditions and reduce patient waiting times and vastly improve the welfare of the children of Liverpool and surrounding areas.

Over 50 patients a week will benefit from the new facilities, which is going to help us keep our waiting lists down and treat more children than ever before." Angela Jones, Chair

The ribbon was cut in ceremonial fashion watched on by a proud group consisting of patients, parents, staff, Trust directorate / management and ACM Health Solutions.

The building work was undertaken by Costain Building Northern division and was completed ahead of schedule, in time and within budget ready for the first patients in the next few months. The building, designed by Mersey Design Architects in close collaboration with the users, will provide theatre facilities for this important service.

The Chair commented on the professionalism and careful consideration shown by ACM Health Solutions during the construction phase of this wonderful facility and praised everybody who was involved in the successful delivery of the scheme.
