The partnership with HBG has already delivered outcomes for the Trust simply not possible under conventional routes. We are now working together to achieve our 2020 Estate Strategy in an affordable, incremental, and sustainable way which supports SUHT's future vision as a Foundation Trust.
The partnership with HBG has lead to the successful completion, on time and in budget, of a range of complicated relocation projects set against a very challenging programme. Most of the projects involved tightly phased decants and remodelling within the operational areas of the congested teaching hospital environment.
The on-site presence of the PSCP has integrated well with the SUHT Estate and Capital Development department's continuous development programme. Ideas and opportunities can be quickly assessed and moved forward in the wider team environment. Fast delivery of projects has become the norm, thus allowing the Trust's patients to experience improved care in a modern environment that much earlier. This approach maximises the use of resources and the effectiveness of the estate in a sustainable manner.
Keith Dowell
Director of Estates & Capital Development, Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust
“Whenever there has been a particular project challenge, we have looked together to see how it maybe overcome rather than adopting the adversarial manner or only looking to one party to provide the answer.”
Peter Ramrayker
Project Director, South West London & St Georges Mental Health Trust.
“The quality of work given the very ambitious timescale and the unique funding arrangements is a credit to all parties involved. We are very happy with the final result.

“We would like to nominate our PSCP and their Project Manager. His commitment to the MK Walk-in Centre has been exemplary; going beyond the call of duty and ensuring the projects momentum was sustained to come in on time and budget. The ability to listen and work with MKPCT is a testimony to his dedication to deliver a facility that is more than fit for purpose, of the highest quality and value for money.”
Marcella Shade Brown
Project Director, Milton Keynes PCT
“We had some really difficult challenges to overcome from the word go. Relationships were quite strained in the early stages, and we had to invest a lot to make this work, I would say now that we have a really good partnership and we are all reaping the benefits.”
Stuart Douglas

“The cost certainty and ability to engage positively with the PSCP and the whole design team was a positive aspect. This is a true landmark building, one that can quite rightly be regarded as best in class. Staff and patients are very impressed.”
Paul Featherstone
